Job Details
MEP Planning Engineers required for a very large engineering contractor based in Qatar.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of resource, cost loaded Program in Primavera P3.1 & P6.
- Preparation of Master, Tender, short term, look ahead, recovery programmes.
- Update of Planning programs and issue progress updates.
- Identify variances between planned and actual progress indicators and propose corrective measures.
- Generation of Cost and resource histograms, Quantity indicators and Progress S curves.
- Identify area access delays.
- Preparation and update of Drawings, Material, Procurement Tracking Logs.
- Update and produce Daily /Weekly / Monthly progress report.
- Conduct periodic site visits and acquire updated information on progress in consultation with Project / Site Engineers.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Construction teams, Client representative to address Program issues.
- To provide assistance to Sr Planning Engineer / Planning Manager in assessing and recording on site progress and update with records to the delays on the project.
- To represent planning function at internal progress meetings.
- Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks assigned.
Education:
Bachelor of Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with Five to seven years in medium and Large Building services for Residential / Commercial projects with at least Four to Five year in project control and planning of at least one medium to large project.
Key Skills:
High proficiency and good working knowledge of Primavera P3.1 / P6.
Good MS office skills.
Knowledge / understanding of technical Aspects of Planning.
Good understanding of MEP services.
Proactive interaction with other departments.
High on Initiative and drive.
Good interpersonal skills.
Good communicator verbal / written.
Team Player.
